Fall programs begin August 2021
We are SOOOO ready to get back to some kind of normal...and we would love for you to join us!
For now, masks are required at all Multinational Memphis programs in addition to safe distancing and regular disinfecting.
To volunteer, click on the picture below to submit a volunteer form.
(In addition, all volunteers must undergo a background check. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.)
Always check our CALENDAR to be sure about when programs meet or if there might have been a cancellation.
MONDAY NIGHT READING 5:15-6:00 pm ...but it is okay if a volunteer cannot make it until 5:30.
Because of Covid safety concerns, we will not have Monday Night Reading for now.
Monday is a regular afterschool program day until 5:15. Then, MONDAY NIGHT READING BEGINS! This is a paired reading program to help improve the reading/English skills of PreK-4th grade limited English-speaking children. Volunteers are matched with children with whom they read each week. This is a GREAT volunteer opportunity for the whole family! So, on your way home from work, drop by, read with a child, make a difference...and make a friend. Contact: email@example.com
Monday through Thursday 3:30 - 6:00 pm. (We understand that every volunteer cannot always come on a regular basis and might not be able to stay the entire time. That is okay - just contact us and we will work out a schedule designed for you!)
Just helping elementary-aged refugee and immigrant kids complete their daily homework assignments, practice basic skills, make crafts, and make friends. Because most of these children do not have English speaking parents at home to help, this program is REALLY important!
(NOTE: Since the main tutoring time is between 4:30-5:30, it is just fine if volunteers can only be there during that time.)
PREK Kids Club
Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:30-11:15 am
Coffee...Conversation...Classes...and a lot of countries represented! While women are improving their language skills in their English4Moms classes, their young children are in PreK Kids Club being prepared for school through guided play and engaging activities.
